Diocese of the Western Gulf Coast Discipleship LIFE Weekends
17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 18 And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit. (2 Corinthians 3:17-18)
18 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18-20)
In ongoing efforts to encourage and support congregations in their development and nurture of discipleship cultures within their communities, the Diocese of the Western Gulf Coast Discipleship Team desires to serve our congregations and their leadership in any way we can. As part of these efforts, we offer different LIFE retreat weekends, designed to come alongside ordained and lay leadership in their continued formation of the people they shepherd, helping them to foster communities which shape disciples who are being transformed more and more into the image of Christ, equipping them to make other disciples.
